The Chateau

The very first time the Chateau opened its gate for public was in 2014. The main goal of the new owners, who bought the Chateau in 2022, is to preserve cultural and historical heritage for future generations.

Expositional curcuits

• Exposition of the Frist Republic shows how people used to live in the Chateau. Everything is shown in the same way as it was then. You will enter an authentic social hall, workroom and bedrooms. Most of the curcuit is dedicated to important family of Morawetz which lived there in the first half of 20. century. Due to their origin the situation forced them to leave to Canada. Their genus still continues and the Chateau is in contact with them. You will receive closer information during the visit.

• Second circuit is dedicated to Exhibition of historical European glass where visitors can admire 1,100 objects created in time period from Baroque to the early 20th century. File comes from a unique collection of Decorative Arts in Prague and the extent and quality yet was never issued. Due to general reconstruction of the museum building in Prague its collections will not be accessible in Prague  in the coming years. Part of the Museum Světlá is an exhibition about the history of the city and its owners. Visitors will see extraordinary exhibits which are the evidence of the art of glass through the time.

• Third circuit consists of four expositions. There is Exposition of historical clocks, where visitors can admire precious clocks created from Baroque period to the 19th century. File comes from the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (UPM). The second part is Exposition of historical paintings and the last part is Exposition of historical sculptures, both rented from the Museum of Vysočina Třebíč.

• Fourth curcuit is a new exposition focused on historical shop and craft of the 20th century. Always opened, everything available.
  This exposition, whose creater is Pavel Kuře, shows an original First Republic shop of Mr. Dvořáček, a flat, a sallon of that time and more. Exposition reveals an equipment and goods of a traditional shop and how customers used to shop more than 100 years ago.
  Other items of the exposition are chests with tools of  the workers, today known as a toolbag. Many of those tools do not exist anymore due to the evolution.
  Second part of the exposition was created by Vlastivědný spolek Světelsko. Also the history of the Chateau and specialization wihich are undeniably connected with this region will be presented to you.

The Chateau is the seat of Museum Světelsko since 2007 created by national history association.

Entry fee:

The exhibition tours are guided and they begin every hour (the first begins at 10 am and the last at 4 pm). The whole tour takes about 60 minutes.
